Tags are a flexible way to group volunteers

You've got your leaders, your heavy lifters, and your last minute lifesavers. Custom tags help you find them quickly when it counts.

Text listing reasons to join GreenThumb: plant trees in local parks, learn sustainable gardening, meet eco-volunteers, earn recognition and badges.

Notes for when you have more to say

Write down reflections, updates, or things you’ve learned about volunteers that will be useful to remember later. These notes stay private to you and your team.

When someone asks for that document

You’ll know exactly where it is, attached to the volunteer’s profile where it belongs.

Keep things current without losing history

People relocate, go back to school, or step back. Move volunteers to inactive to keep their records intact and see who’s truly active right now.

One checklist for onboarding and renewals.

Track the steps your volunteers need to complete, like background checks, training, waivers, and certifications. We’ll show you who needs follow up and let you know when renewals are coming up.

Run background checks with Checkr right inside Timecounts.

Set custom expiration dates and reminders for items.

Add your own requirements and milestones to the checklist.

You control what’s shared

Decide what you collect and who can see it. Volunteers can update their own details, and their privacy is secure.

Still have questions?
Here’s what organizers ask most.

Who can see volunteer information in the directory?

Only admins you assign can view or manage volunteer profiles. You can also set permissions, so you control who can view, edit, or export volunteer information. Volunteers only see their own basic profile and can request changes or removal of their data at any time.

How do we keep volunteer information up to date?

No, we offer a free version of Timecounts to approved organizations, and our Pro Plan is priced at less than $2 per day. As a mission-driven organization, we’ve intentionally set the Pro Plan below market value to make it accessible to as many nonprofits as possible.
